Bury Council plans public meeting on Schools March 5

MONDAY 05 MARCH 2007 AT 6:00 PM THE ATHENAEUM, ANGEL HILL, BURY ST EDMUNDS
Bury St Edmunds Town Council has called a Public Meeting, to be Chaired by the Town Mayor, to allow parents to question the leader of Suffolk County Council, its Portfolio Holder for Children and Schools, and relevant departmental Director on the emotive subject of two- and three-tier schools within the SCC School Organisation Review.
The Meeting will be held in the Athenaeum, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds on Monday 05 March 2007, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Numbers will be limited to 200 attendees and in the event of over-subscription then priority admission will be accorded to parents/guardians of students at schools in Bury St Edmunds and who are residents and council tax payers of the town itself.
Questions will be invited on the subjects of Pupil Performance, Resources, Sustainability, 14 – 19 Provision, Consultation, School Improvement, School Organisation, School size, Implementation and other related issues.
